Quad injection

Hey bros,

So friday I thought i'd try my first quad inject. I had a 2cc syringe loaded with 1cc of Test E and 1cc of EQ. So, I stick it in my leg and as soon as it goes in, it starts twitching like crazy! So I get a little spooked and pull it out and then a streem of blood goes shooting accross the room! So, I called it a day on that and shot in my glute instead. I wanted to try shooting there, but now I'm extrememly nervous about it. anyone have this happen to them?

First, did you aspirate? If so, was there any blood drawn into the syringe? If not, you're fine. As for the blood shooting across the room...I hope you're exaggerating a bit. I have never had a problem with any bleding whatsoever until the other day. I injected (no problem), aspirated (no problem), shot it in (no problem), and then pulled the needle out. Blood didn't shoot across the room, but it did run down my leg quite profusely for a minute or two then it completely stopped. When I aspirated there was no blood, so I am assuming I hit a vein on the way in and the needle was long enough to go past it and shoot into the muscle. The blood probably came out after I removed the needle back through the vein.

I used to only use my quads. The twitch you sometimes feel occurs when the needle hits a nerve in your leg. It's not big deal, just kind of freaky.

BTW what gauge/length needle are you using?

I liked quads so much I never shot anywhere else, but recently I did delts and traps and loved it!! I might try triceps this week.

I also use quads only...have never tried anywhere else.
Have never had any bleeding really to speak of.
What guage and length are use using?

I am exagerating about the blood squirting accross the room. But there was more blood than usual. I didn't asparate as I didn't shoot there. i pulled out the syringe immeidately. I changed the pin and shot in my glute. I'm using a 22guage 1 /12 in pin. i really want to start shooting in my quads since I am tired of contorting my body to shoot in my ass!! It was just the twitching that kinda freaked me out for some reason. I'll sack up and try again.

Right or wrong, I'm using a 23 gauge and 1" pin.
Like I said, quads is the only place where I inject.
And relax that muscle prior to sticking

Yeah, I think i'm going to try again today. For some reason, I get nervous injecting in my quad, like i'm going to stab myself in my siotic nerve or something. I gotta sack up and do it. thanks for your input fellas.

Jrod..relax and try it again....I had to give myself injections of interferon for 4 months..always in the quads..90% of my other injections are also given in the quads..sit down and relax the leg when doing it..ease the point in ..do not jab..you will do fine.

I also use an inch and a half pin. I got them for injecting in my glutes. When I inject in my quad, I only stick it in one inch. If I go any farther, I sometimes feel pain and can expect a stream of blood to follow when I pull it out. If I do feel pain, I will not inject. I have gone slightly further than an inch, felt pain and pulled it out 1/2 to 5/8 of an inch and injected just fine with no blood or pain in the following days. The most comfortable way I have found for myself is to sit on the couch and let the weight of my leg rest on the cushion (relaxing). I let all of the muscle go to the side I'm injecting (nice and meaty injection spot). Also, when I inject like that as opposed to standing relaxed or sitting in a chair letting the weight of my leg rest on my foot, there is no pain in the following days (unless I slap the injection site of course). I'm sure everyone has their little tricks and ways of doing it, thats just what works well for me.

I get bleeders on occasion no matter what the injection site or needle size. My wife laughs and yells, "We got a bleeder!"

If your procedure is correct then you probably just chose a bad location.
