question on test therapy vs. natural production

I understand that the normal male produces between 50-70 mg/week or 7-9mg/day of natural test. Ok I just finished a cycle of 1000mg of eth. a week about three months ago. I thought I would go to the doctor and have my test levels check, and guess what they were low(no supprize to me) but anyway my test level was only 180 ng/dl, I think normal range is approx 200-800 ng/dl. So my doctor prescribed me some andro gel. so I am really happy now, but here is my maine question. He prescribed me 30 packets, one for each day, each packet contains 50mg of test, they also come in 75mg, and 100mg. For me that adds up to 350mg a week , way above normal ( 50-70mg). Why would a doctor do that, did he miss calculate, or am I looking at this all wrong. Because I'm thinking I getting a pretty good deal here, especially when the insurance is paying most of it. Also he said I would have to continue this for every. 350 isnt as good as 1000mg a week but better than nothing. I sure would like some feed back from you guys out there.

I might be wrong, but I thought the topical test strength has a concentrate percentage, like 1% or 5%. So you may only actually be getting 5 mg of test from that 50mg packet of andro. I could be wrong but that's how I understand that stuff to work.

I looked at the paper that came with it printed by the company and it says, " a daily application of androgel 5g,7.5g or 10g contains 50mg, 75mg or 100mg of testosterone respectively. The ones I have are 5 gram packets of gels, they are labled 1%. I just want to see if i was really getting anything worth messing with. hopefully can get some more feedback on this! Otherwise what do i have to loose, ill go ahead and use all thirthy packets.

Post this in the mens health forum, androgel is more useful as TRT than a steroid to build muscle.
