Questions on Lingo?

im talkin to a supplier he says his powders are all USP24 or better never heard of that b4 bt i never have used homemade gear, just qv and syndey group.

also he says gear is usually 5% or 10% BA i kno the higher the BA the more painful the injections, bt wt exactly does BA mean and can there be any problems other than a sore ass if the BA is higher than 10%

BA is Benzly Alcohol. It's used to sterilize the powders. Most gear now adays is 5% BA or lower. No real need for the higher BA concentration. USP24 is the type of powder I beleive. I'm not sure on that. Someone will chim in here and help with that one i'm sure. No problems with the higher BA except painfull injections but you want to try and keep it at 5% or less. I know if you plan on making your own and depending on what your making you can make it with 2-3% ba and 10-15% BB. BB is Benzly Benzonate(sp?) It is used to help thing out the oil for injection. I'm sure somone else will chim in with a more clear answer for you.

NO. 10% should kill everything in site. Are you buying allready made gear I assume??

I should clarify about the USP part. It's not the type persay but when it was produced I think. I think the 24 determines when it was produced. Again not sure. I'm trying to find out for ya.

usp stands for the purity of the powder, each powder you convert will have it's own recipe, which for most powders will be ba, bb, and oil, at different amounts, you could make a universal kit using high amounts of solvents, but why put yourself though painfull shot when you don't have too. Here's a basic list for recipes:
Test Enanthate 10 gram conversion

Needed
10 grams test E
Benzyl Alcahol 2ml 5% BA
30.5 ml sesame oil
Syringes 3cc & 5/10cc
18 or 20 guage needles
Vial
Sterile Vial
Whatman sterile filter


1. Weigh out 10 grams of powder.
2. Place powder in vial.
3. Add BA to the vial.
4. Heat oil in the oven to help sterilize it, heat to at least 212 degrees F. I usually heat my oil at 275 to be sure, I put the oil in a muffin pan, just fill one of the indentions this is plenty for these experiments. Also heat more oil than you need, as you will not be able to get it all out of the pan.
5. Add oil to the vial, save 2 ml of oil in the syringe for later. Gently shake vial.
6. Heat mixture if necessary. I like heating my powder products, by placing the vial in a frying pan, and placing it on the eye of the stove.
7. Place a 18 or 20 gauge needle in the sterile vial attach whatman sterile filter.
8. Place another needle in the sterile vial to relieve the pressure.
9. Draw out solution with a syringe, run though whatman filter.
10. Take other syringe with 2ml oil, run through whatman into solution.


Makes 40ml @ 250mg/ml

1 ml of EQ is 1.18 grams
Grams * 0.85 = ml of Bold Undec to use.

EQ is virtually idiot proof, so I would recommend making all of your product in one sitting if you have more than 5 or 10 grams of EQ, instead of trying to weigh out 5 or 10 grams of it.

USP is actually an acronym, and it stands for UNITED STATES PHARMACOPIA. USP is an assurance to consumers/others that the product was manufactured and processed using the strict standards required my the FDA. The number after the USP, as in USP25, refers to the particular set of standards and procedures. So....the difference from USP24 to say USP25, is simply the protocol or procedures used. So every time the procedures change a little, the FDA increases the USP#+1 (USP24 +1 = USP25).

A product manufactured using USP24 is not necessarily any worse or any better than USP25, it just means it was made using the processes and procedures in USP24 "handbook." (so to speak).

Personally, as long as what I buy was manufactured using a "USP" grade process, its darn good. If someone is offering the same product and at the same price but at a higher USP, then go with the higher USP.
