red swollen hard knot

I injected sust 250 into my shoulder and now a week later I have a lump/knot that is all swollen and hard. red and hot too. doesn't hurt just looks like hell

I had the same thing in my pec awhile back, a bro suggested i take motrin (ib) And it went away in about 3 days. But it was'nt hot to the touch though i'd take the motrin and rubb it alot thoughout the day. But keep an eye on the fever or weakness that's a sign of an abcess, And don't be scared to go see the doc if you have to just say a spider bit you.

Bro, you need to go see the doc asap. If you wait until you get fever,.its goin to be too late,Then you will get it lance out..

Just a bad injection, nothing more...might have passed through a nerve or something or you might have jerked the pin from side to side and caused trauma to the muscle. Usually goes away in 7-10 days. Had it many times.

Yeah that maybe the possible. But he said he feels a hard knot or a lump,..plus it feels hot to the touch.

In my experience i felt those symptoms,.i tought it would go away and it got much worst. The doc told me if i would have showed up a couple days earlier he would have perscribed me some antibiotics,..but nope that wasn't the case now my quad looks like i've been shot with a 45.magnum.They left it nice and open for it to drain,.no stitches i must add.

Its better to be safe than sorry bro.

I had the hard lump or knot also FF. It was also hot for a day or 2 but like he said..he has no fever which to me indicates that he doesn't have an abcess or an infection. I know exactly what the bro has, I can almost feel it like it was yesterday, lol.

What also MIGHT have caused it bro...is you might have shot to far down the side head of your shoulder. That's where all of mine happened....you'd think I'd learn from it the first time. Guess I can't judge distance to well

It sometimes happens from not jabbing deep enough...but finafreak is right..better safe than sorry....abcessess suck!
