So in ya'll opinion is it ok to rest a couple extra minutes between sets if you puke?

id be more concerned the reaosn why i puked to begin with than resting inbetween sets

yes..after you puke..clean yourself up,get some gum,or drink some water or gatorade if you can and continue your workout.

I'm with Andy..

If I feel nauseous I can usually finish a set and take a break before I puke.. I rest as much as I need to.. Sometimes I don't rest at all, sometimes I take 5 minutes.

Just make sure you breathe when you move..

It's kinda funny. I work out at the house and my wife was in the kitchen. I told her to come spot me on my last set of bench. She came out and laughed and asked how I expected her to pick up that much weight off me if I couldn't finish the rep(230lbs). I told her don't worry about it she wouldn't have to lift that much she'd just have to help a little if I couldn't finish. Well I hit the first nine clean, the ninth being difficult but clean. I figured I had a spot so I was going for number 10, well I got down to my chest and about 3 inches up I hit the wall. She started to help but it wan't much help. So I push like hell to get the weight up and finally got it to the top. Needless to say my whole upper body was pretty much purple by the time I got it up. The puking was nothing more then a little over pushing my limits. I was only nausiated for a little while and then yes I finished my workout and felt fine. I think my mistake was I drank my protein only 20 minutes before my workout. Usually I drink it about an hour before I lift. I't's not a common problem I have. I just had to push like hell. That might not seem like alot of weight for a lot of you monsters but I must say I was pretty happy about the 9 clean reps. It's 20lbs heavier then what I hit last week. 20lbs in a week, I'll take those kinda results all day

I love it when I panic on my last rep... Happened to me the other day on decline barbell...245 almost chopped my block off. lol..
