Default sorry for all the questions

Okay so I think I will go for the 25g 1" needle but I have a few more questions. 1) What is an abscess? 2) How do you get something like that? 3) If I aspirate should I see any blood at all? I know a steady flow is bad but a drop here and there is that okay? I know to inject real slow right?

25g 1" are good for about any site if you're relatively lean.

An abcess is an infection at the injection site. You prevent this by: (assuming your gear is sterile, which it should be) 1) swabbing the injection site with alcohol as well as the vial top with alcohol
2) being sanitary in general....wash hands, etc

If you aspirate, and you find it easy to pull back on the plunger AND you see blood, you're likely in a vessel....pull out, switch needles and try again. If you find a good amount of resistance when pulling on the plunger and/or get a little air bubble or two, you're good to go.
It is easy to pass through a vessel and inject IM on the other side of it. If this happens, you'll likely see blood when you withdraw the needle, but as long as you've aspirated and ensured you're not still IN the vessel, it's no problem

Heating gear via warm water is good to reduce viscosity. 1mL/min is ideal, but few will go that slow. Keep the pin in for a 10-20 second period after the injection to allow oil to disperse from the injection site and reduce back pressure upon withdrawal.

Good luck

i have aspirated and not seen any blood than there be a tiny drop in the pin when done. but have also pulled back 2 times now and got 1/2 cc blood before i even noticed. so when it has no resistance change, when it does youll get air bubbles, almost like your seperating the juice. youll let go of the plunger and itll pop back in place and almost all the bubbles are gone.
