Source Checks (Subject not an actual check)

What is the appropriate way to do a source check now that the classifieds are gone. I used to do them in there and do not want to break any rules now that it is gone.

Good question Hammy! I was wondering the same thing myself. Also, It seemed that with the classifieds you could see which sources were out there and what was going on with them (still in biz,turned scammer,etc) fairly quickly and I believe that this may have saved some bros from being scammed since it was almost "real time". Now if a source turns scammer it may go on longer than before. I guess if you stick to "golden sources" you might not run into this, but I've seen "golden" ones turn as well. Don't know what a new source is going to do as far as getting known,selling, etc.,these days...don't really need to worry about that myself but for the bros that do I wonder how they'll do it.

The "old fashioned" way of doing a source check is to PM a Mod. or Vet.

yes, but under many of there names it says they do not answer source-related questions..........
