Default Starting my first cycle

I start my first cycle tomorow. Very excited. I just wanted to see any last comments about my cyle by people who know about aas more than I do.

My cycle is
500mg of TEST E
400mg EQ

Im going on this cycle for 10 weeks.

I will be running arimidex during my cycle at .5mg ED
The day after my last shot I will be taking nova.

Im 21, 6'3 and I weigh 220 pounds. Im 13 % body fat. Ive been lifting for about 6 years, mostly off and on, and hard for the last 8 months. I plan on eating a clean diet of about 4000 calories and I with be running 3 times a week and lift 6 days a week. What kind of results should I expect to see. I know this is a somewhat mild cycle, but it is my first. I want to gain a lean 20 pounds.

your training program sounds like shit, no offense. Try reading up on Animalmass's DFHT in the training forum, and look into Bob's (actually JS's) 5x5 program.

You need more rest to pack on the muscle, and if you want to gain 20 lbs of muscle you should try to gain 30lbs total then lose 10lbs of fat with your cardio after you bulk. That's the quickest way to add size, trying to pack it on and stay lean is very slow going...

but the drug usage sounds about right

the cycle looks great - I am a big believer that we each must learn what works for our body while in the gym - so good luck - if you feel overtrained though switch right away

Thanks Deacon any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated. Your one of few people on this forum that knows what there really talking about. I do plan to move down to 5 days a week during PCT and down to 4 days a week for three weeks after the PCT to recover better. About the 5x5 program, I think thats a horrible workout. We did something similiar to that during highschool and Im gonna keep it there. that workout is basically for strength gains. I only do legs once a week cause if you can do it three times a week, than your not working them hard enough. For me presonally, when I workout 6 days a week it keep me more movitvated and keeps my diet stricter and my protien high, alot to do with the mental aspect and I am a conditioned athlete, working out 3 days a week isnt enough for my body to respond.

If you really think it's a horrible workout, then you don't know much about lifting. There are some big names that support the 5x5 program for both size and strength gains, people who have forgotten more than you or I will ever know about training.

If the 5x5 didn't work for you, you didn't do it right.

If you like the 6 day a week workout then go for it, especially if you're continuing to gain from it.

I have a hard time believing that you'll get the type of gain you want, be it hypertrophy or strength, when you lift 6 times a week and run cardio another three times. Especially if you're only squatting one out of those 6 days...

With that type of work load, I don't think 4000 calories a day would cut it to reach a 20lbs gain. The keys to gaining are intensity and rest (along with eating everything you can wrap your teeth around), whether you're a power lifter or a body builder.

My opinion.
