how many of you are liftin to get huge and strong so you got the aggressive attitude, size, and strength, so in case someone or a few people fuck with you, you can take them out real quick? how many people are working out just for this reason. cuz to be honest, its mainly why i am lifting. so if 3 people jump me i can fuck em up. that and because i wanna look good too but mainly in case sht goes down i am ready. am i alone on this one? later |

size isnt everything though. for example a 12 stone boxer could really mess up a twenty stone bber. i really think you need to do a range of things if you want to be 'hard'. an example of this is a mate of mine, i can batter him in the gym but after about 8 weeks of boxing training i couldnt take him out in sparring. if you really want the ability to take on anything then do weights, western boxing and martial arts. mma style training. |

No you're not alone. I'm a powerlifter and I used to train just to be strong, but recently I've incorporated boxing / oly lifting into my training. This is so I become not just strong but powerful and fast and know how to use that power. I dunno what it is but lately being strong isn't good enough... I want to be sure that no one wants to fuck with me.

I dunno, I was a bouncer for years and still occasionally bounce but mostly bartend and for some reason drunk idiots feel the need to fuck with the big guy, lol. It's always fun when you grab them by their neck and carry them out of the bar |

| yeh me too, i never start trouble wi anyone and i never push peeps around, its not in my nature, id just love to knock the absolout shit out of someone who tried pushing ME around instead, plus the fatc that being small has ruined the last 10 yrs of my whole life if not all of it

my dad used to beat my ass when i would come home after a fight and the guy was smaller than me or of equal size.. he said if you're not taking out bigger guys than you're just being an abusive sob. gloves up, and hope he doesn't hot me where i was already hit.. i wrestled a small bit early in hs.. i also did tae kwon do, boxing, and I still spar with my friends.. straight up on the lawn, 2 vs 1, everything but blows to the face.. it's good practice, we also know our level of experience among the group.. comes in handy when its 3-4 of you out for the night.. regardless the second amendment is all I need to feel safe.. heh.. you all should flex them rights.. in regards to lifting..i'm in it for the self gratification, i feel small and feeling small isn't a good feeling.. so it's more of making the outside look how the inside feels it should. i also love the attention from women, im not even that big but the changes ive made in the last 6months its crazy.. i mean im a different dude now no matter where I am.. no problems getting a little feminine attention...and not shabby either, though I have a fetish for the urban thickness... example: there is a girl who does local modeling, personally I think she is fucking amazing..i used to see her on a few myspace pages, club shows, local music videos.. then like two months ago i see a hottie at the gym, wholly fucking shit it's her.. i do the typical broad chest boast, like a pecking rooster.. she bit, had a nice convo was able to drag out that i recognize her.. she started babbling about her work.. a couple of times she fished me out of my routine to get a little help and just talk.. anyway it was a huge ego boost to realize she was interested in me and that she bored me.. lol.. i get off on shit like that. it's really shallow down here, and im a smart ass, loud ass, t shirt n jeans kind of fool..it's nice when the prissy missies bite the worm....it's easy to bag a low end mutt bucket, much harder to bag one that drives a 50K car.. lol..

I always trained for strength and size but still incorporated cardio fitness through martial arts. I was a bouncer for years as a kid and never really had to use my strength or size to break up a fight or throw someone out. I have always been able to talk to people and rationalize with them. I had trained in a Royer Gracie JJ system on and of for 8 years. Along with kali, escrima, and thai boxing. I have not really grappled in almost 3 years due to bad knees. But I can honestly say my favorite form of defense is to talk it out. If that doesn't work. I prefer small joint munipulation, eye gouging, knees, elbows and any other dirty tactic. I hate throwing punches. I use my hands everyday for work.

I think I trained for reasons you mentioned early on but CHICKS kept me in the gym. I have to tell you that I trained for several years with Matt Hughes (UFC fame) and I can tell you size/strength don't mean shit dealing with a skilled wrestler and MMA fighter. I know well lots of MMA fighters and some wannabes and I can tell you straight out that a well trained fighter will fuck you up quicker than size/strength. . Fact is I can still fight but pack heat in my truck; I fear no man! |
