Default T3 with hGH

I've read that hGH can directly hinder ones T3 levels while on. Would cycling a small dose such as 25mcg alonside the hGH for a matter of months be overkill and dangerous to long-term thyroid function? Thanks.

Somatostatin, which will be upregulated in response to exogenous GH to inhibit endogenous GH, also has been implicated in being responsible, in part, for some of the downregulation of thyroid hormones. Mallet on anabolicreview.com has made some excellent posts recently about monitoring your core temp....this can be indicative of decreased (or increased) thyroid function. This may be the best strategy (next to bloodwork) to gauge if and how much GH is affecting your thyroid function over time. If you're taking GH for its anabolic properties, I'd only take T3 on an "as needed" basis. If you're taking GH for it's fat buring potential, supplementing with T3 could be very beneficial.

Very good info einstein, thanks and I'm going to check over at AR for Mallet's posts. My real concern is that my family has a history of thyroid disease, my mother was hypothyroid and they had concerns when I was younger. Diagnosed with Hashimotos (minor but can lead to hypo/hyper'ism) and supplemented on low dose synthroid for a year. Never been fat but I've definetely noticed I need to eat alot cleaner than how I did a few years ago. OK, I'm rambling. But a full bloodwork analysis is in store I'm just waiting for my system to be clear of everything to get a fair assessment. The temperature trick is a nifty one though.
