I'm 41 years old and about 1/2 way through with my first cycle of test cyp 300mg ew for 10 weeks. I have access to HCG and clomid and have nolvadex on hand (11mg x 30caps). I was wondering what a good PCT would be with this light of cycle. I've done a lot of reading about PCT but everything seems to pertain to heavier cycles. Thanks for any help. Joe

no need for hcg. 11mg 30 caps of what? Standard PCT would be nolva 40mg weeks 1 and 2 then drop it down to 20mg for 2 more weeks. Start 2 weeks after last shot.

So you're doing 1.5ml/week in one shot? Any results so far?

Results? Hell yes!! I'm up about 13 lbs from 177 to about 190. I'm sure that some of it is water but I hope not all. Strength gains are unreal though. I'm just loking for a simple PCT for a simple cycle. If I'm kidding myself just tell me. I ,like everyone else, want to keep as much muscle mass as possible. By the way, the only negative side effect so far has been an extreme drop in ejaculate even though no significant testicular atrophy is apparent. (Sex drive is off the charts) Any advice for the last 6 weeks of cycle to improve ejaculate or advice for PCT is much appreciated. Thanks again, Joe

i agree with nolvadex for pct. its all you need for that cycle.

With your relative youth & that low a dose of cypionate, the nolva regimen should be good for PCT. But, interestingly enough, the only thing I've found that really increased my load was HCG! That's not really important anyway, is it? Your sex drive is wild & your gains are stupendous for 300mg/wk. Follow it through, avoid temptation, & take the same time off as you were on cycle.

Two weeks after your last injection, do 40mg Nolva daily for 2 weeks, then 20mg daily for one week. Many would say do another week at 20 or even 10, but your Test intake was pretty low.

OK its been about 50 days since last test injection (300mg cyp). I waited 2 weeks after last shot and did HCG 500 iu eod for 2 weeks. I also ran clomid 100mg ed for same 2 weeks. Then ran 22mg nolva for 2 weeks then 11mg nolva for 2 more weeks. Heres the problem, since I quit the nolva, libido and wood went to hell. WTF anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

I'm sure it has. The problem is you took advice from people with limited real world experience who are probably in their 20's and 30's. You should have been told to stay flexible and be prepared to go at least 8 weeks and possibly 12 weeks on nolvadex, with a possible need to redo the HCG as well.

What was incorrectly focused on was your light cycle. Suppression is suppression... whether it's due to a 1,000mg/week cycle or a 300mg/week cycle. You're still suppressed.

Add on top of it the fact that you're in your 40's... and pct is a whole different ballgame.

PCT needs vary greatly from one individual to another. However, it is generally true that the older a person is the more pct is required. In your case, your nolvadex dosage was too light and way too short.

Go back to the HCG for 3 shots/week at 500iu for 3 weeks. Take 20mg (22mg based on your tabs) of nolvadex during this time. Then continue to take 22mg's of nolvadex for the following 6 weeks followed by 11mg's for the next 2 weeks. You should be OK at that point. However, if not, then you'll need to continue the nolvadex and periodically go off and see how you're doing.

Many studies with nolvadex and HCG last for months... up to one year in some cases. For someone in their 40's, 2-3 weeks of HCG should be followed by 1 month at 20mg/day minimum, with the real possibility of needing to go with 2-3 months of nolvadex.

I recently reviewed a case study on infertility with a male bodybuilder who required HCG at 10,000iu's twice a week... for 3 months... before semen returned to normal and fertility was regained.
