Unhappy Test Flu and Infection

Last Thursday evening I injected 1 cc Test Prop. It was left over Cyp that I had 9 months ago. Since Friday, I have had a fever and general flu symptoms. On Friday night, my leg swelled up around the injection site and I can barely walk or get in and out of bed. The swollen area is also warm and red. I started taking antibiotics yesterday morning, but no change yet.

The Prop had been refrigerated and the expiration date is next year. I know that Prop can be pretty painful for a few days, but it seems like I have an infection now. Was I stupid to use Prop that had been openned nine months earlier?

Thanks.

Honestly I don't think it is a big deal to use Prop that was opened 9 months ago. It sounds like you kept it in good conditions. Honestly you could have introduced a virus into your system when you injected. Has the swelling gone down any and also is it still red and puffy, if is not then it is probably Test Flu. Just keep eye on it and make sure it doesn't get any bigger. I am not real experienced in this area, so wait for other responses to see what they think also. Also if you are taking an antibiotic then you should be fine, and should you continue to use the open Prop, I think you might try to put the vial in some boiling water for about 3-5 minutes and that should take care of any bacteria in the vial if there was any. I have done that for precaution before and then used the test with no problems at all, and it was also opened for about 5 months. Hope this helps.

Thanks Killiob. The swelling is still the same. The only think new today is that it has began to itch a little. I've been on antibiotics 36 hours. Hopefully I'll see a change tomorrow.
