I do know that my oil glands secrete more after using tribulus terrestris, & I seem to feel more alert to sexual signals, but that sort of thing is always subjective & sketchy to judge.
As for research, I found this from
BodyBuildingforyou:
"Much tribulus research and studies have been conducted, and all have shown positive benefits of supplementing Tribulus Terrestris, and almost no adverse effects. Here are some findings on Tribulus supplementation:
* A study done with healthy individuals taking 750mg of tribulus per day showed a 72% LH increase, and a 41% increase in testosterone.
* In a study conducted with 20 males and females, 75% of the participants had increased endurance, 80% had increased libido and sexual performance, and 95% of the females reported no PMS symptoms.
* A study conducted with 200 males suffering from impotence showed increase in LH and testosterone levels after supplementing Tribulus. The study also found a increase in sperm production."
No specific sources given, as
GreyOwl would note. Seems to be citing a single well-known Bulgarian experiment done long ago.
Edmund R. Burke, physiological researcher concluded:
"The bottom line? Despite the anecdotes, there is no conclusive evidence that tribulus enhances muscle growth or strength. For now, it is merely a fad. More research must be conducted on healthy people who have no libido or hormonal problems to see if tribulus truly affects muscle. It must be evaluated both as a stand-alone supplement and in combination with other supplements. And finally, the study results must be peer-reviewed."

Another
summary by Bryan Haycock, MSc CSCS says that most Terrestris is too weak to do anything but the good stuff (extract in high mgs, at least 45% steroidal saponins of the furostanol type) does what
YoungBuilder said, increases
test, yes, but increases estradiol even more, much more; so aromatization sides should increase too. That might account for increased skin oils. It might even explain why it helped with my last PCT, keeping both
test & estro up. The slight depression & lassitude of that period didn't hit until I stopped my T3 Terrestris.
In short, it looks like I've been (as my old chum Rufus used to say) barking up a dead dog's ass.
What then is recommended to keep the boys at home during cycle? (In my case, it's only "boy", since I've had only one active testicle since way back before I can remember. Still my ring finger is much longer than my index finger & I've always bloodtested high-normal for testosterone.) Some have recommended Clomid or even mid-cycle Pregnyl to keep the grape juicy claiming there's no proof they stunt gains.
Thanks for the facts, guys.
