The problem you present is that in the absence of pain or loss of strength it's hard to believe this is a nerve or neuromuscular junction problem. If forgot which head you said this was but it's hard to believe you've lost contraction but have not lost strength. If I had to guess I would say you've caused a local inflammatory response that's mostly fluid. Excess fluid in a compartment is no big deal when it's flabby . . . it's when it hardens up that you start to worry . . . compartment syndrome as noted by spound. But the take home from me would be to stop shooting your tricep and watchful waiting . . . but if you have any other reason to be concerned besides no horseshoe then you should probably get some professional medical attention. |
Thanks for the input guys.
Here's some info I left out...
I was injecting IGF. I have stopped all IGF injections since I noticed the tricep thing. There's is absolutely no pain, and I have lost no strength...I am actually benching (both normal and close grip) more than I ever have before.
The area of the tricep affected is the long head (the part of the tricep that touches your lats when your arms hang relaxed by your side). The upper 2/3's will contract hard as a rock, but the bottom 1/3 (closest to the elbow) doesn't...it stays mushy. Again, no pain, no discoloration, no numbness etc.
I would think with the number of shots that people give themselves, somebody else would have had a similar experience?
Thanks again,
