Ok, so not a newbie at this. I hit about 4CC in the glute , combo of prop, masteron, and primo last Sunday, so its been 1 week. I have never gotten this before, but there is a huge painful lump that is NOT red, or hot, but is swollen and hurts like hell. My right glute is very inflammed, but I have no fever, or anything to indicate that its a infected abcess. Finally went to the doctor and he gave my Ultra sound. The Ultra Sound found no liquid or pus, so they have ruled out an abcess. Nothing they can pull out basically. We've tried already before going to the doctor and nothing came out.
Has anyone gotten something like this where the whole area is inflammed but there is no indication of infection or no abcess is shown on a Ultra Sound? What could this be? I started Avelox (antibiotic) on Friday, so today is the 4th day with no relief. Help.
I had something similar to that. Big and painful but not very hot and barely red. I dont know what it was exactly but it went down after about a week. I would give it a couple of days and if it does not get better I would go back to the doc. Good luck
I've had that too, but maybe not as severe as you have. Every time I've injected Winny, it feels like there's a golf ball stuck in my butt cheek, and it stays a few days...one of the reasons I'll never use winny again.
I've had this once or twice before from a test/deca shot in the glute. I find aspirating with a 5ml syringe in a glute really difficult, I just can't twist round far enough so I can comfortably pull the plunger back without wiggling the needle round in a big circle (Yeah, ok, I can bench some big weights, but struggle to pull the plunger back!!). When this happens, I get a lump and feels like the whole area is swollen, like I've been shot or something. I've always kinda attributed this to a collection of gear in a damaged part of a muscle. It normally goes after 5 days or so.
Thanks for the reply. Its been 9 days now and still very painful. Running a course of Avelox which is suppose to be one of the strongest antibiotics around.
I would normally attribute this to liquid not dissolved, but again, the Ultra Sound found no liquid at all. If you look at it, its a raised inflammed area that hurts where I can't even sleep. My dr. said it could be infected deep inside so he wants to keep on the antibiotics, but still, I dont know if thats what it is. An infection without an abcess doesnt make sense. Any more input?
Hey guys, you have too much fluid going into the muscle. I have said this before on this site...if you can, Z track your injections into the glute....which means insert needle all the way into muscle, inject about 3/4-1cc of oil and then slowly move needle upwards out of skin, maybe like 1/4 inch and then inject more oil, move needle out a little bit more and inject the rest of oil into muscle. This helps dispense the oil into the muscle without any buildup or pain. I wouldn't shoot up with more than 3 cc's in your glutes period. After you inject, massage the injection site vigorously for about 30-45 seconds. If you can, go for a brisk walk around where you live...that helps too. I promise this will help.
Will that was the 1st time I did 4CC and the last time. I dont know if thats the problem because the Ultra Sound picked up no pockets of oil or puss, no abcesses or anything. So what is the large, painfull lump doing there if there is nothing to pull out?

I've just never heard of something like this where there is no fluid to extract. Oh, and no infection because I've been on antibiotics now for 5 days. Nothing, and they are the strongest you can get.
Has anyone heard of this. Its still very much swollen and now has been 10 days with no relief. Yesterdays pain was the worst. I am getting worried as my Dr. thinks it just an infection. But what about no symptoms of an infection nor the antibiotics arent doing anything. Anything else?
In my case it wasn't to much fluid in one place. 1.5ml (2amps) was all. Testoprim is under-dosed, and very painful. I am feeling 10x better now after one week of ice paks.
I must have come close enough to a nerve for the Testoprim to irritate it because the pain went from the lower back to the side of the leg. All I can say is no more testoprim for me! Almost every time it left lumps the size of small eggs in my ass. I wonder if they manufacture it as a joke.
That sounds harsh. The huge lump has finally gone down. Keep in mind that it was the size of two baseballs. Yes, that big!!! I've been sitting in my spa for 30 minutes ED and warm packs at work for 5 hours total. Still alot of pain though, and still continuing with Antibiotics. See the doctor tomorrow. I was in tremendous pain yesterday and Tuesday night, even with painkillers.
I've never heard of something like this and neither has the doctor. He had to consult with 2 other collegues that had no clue. Jumping into the spa, hopefully I can get one good night sleep after 2 weeks.
