Default Urgent Question For Anyone Who Knows About Pcs

[b] How Do You Get Rid Of The Trojan Virus Once You Get It? I Am Almost Positive I Got It Through Downloading A File Through An Email. I Cannot Even Load Aol To The Comp. And It Says I Have No Cd Rom Capability, I Cant Download Anything To Try And Fix It. Its Fuckin With Almost Everything On My Computer, I Constantly Get Error Messages That Wont Go Away, My Volume On My Pc No Longer Works. Is This The Trojan Virus Or A Worm? Should I Just Go Get A New Hard Drive Installed? Because I Have One... Or Should I Try Something Else? Do We Have Any Pc Guru's Here? Any Help Would Be Extremely Appreciated...and We Could Work Out Someway Of Compensation If You Are Able To Help Me Get Rid Of This. Thank You. Strength

have you tried "system restore"....go to programs, click on accessories, click on system tools.

if you have the restore disk for the pc, you can just format C:, and this might be your best option.

Sup bro

Maybe I can be of some assistance:

First your gonna start by downloading a few spyware removal programs to make sure that isnt the problem. Im also gonna need yah to do a couple things for me.

Ok.. first download is
www.lavasoft.de and download the program called adaware 6. After downloading you have to update it (to right corner picture looks like a globe) then click scan computer

2nd program is called Spybot - Search and Destroy. Go to Download.com and type in that name.. download the program/update and run a check on yrou computer.

Next, if your running windows XP which I assume you are, I need you to click Start>Run and type in "msconfig"

Then go to the STARTUP tab and either do a screen shot or type out names of the files under the Startup Items column (PM me the list). I may need you to go after into this and tell me the command prompt if there is anythign fishy.

I will tell you which one to uncheck then restart computer. then we can focus on gettin a free antivirus program on your computer and running a scan.. then doing a windows update..

PM your msn or whatever and we can chat some more (if you have msn)

Peace

Dom.

First of all you should check which Viruses or Trojans you have installed.

From what you have told us you don't have an antivirus installed in your computer so the best option is to do a free online virus scan. For that you need to go to http://security.symantec.com/default...d=ie&venid=sym and click on the "virus detection" button.

When it says it's going to install an ActiveX in your computer just click yes. It will then start to scan your computer for viruses and trojan. It may take awhile. After it has finished write down the name of viruses and trojans found and go to http://www.symantec.com/search/ and search for each virus/trojan found on your computer and download the removal tool (follow instructions included).

After cleaning all of the trojan/viruses go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and update your windows with all the critical patches.

After that is time to clean you adaware. The best application for this purpose is called Webroot Spy Sweeper. I've pm you the info on how to get it from me for free. After installing Spy Sweeper go to options and click on update definitions. After that run a scan on your computer and delete every adaware it was found.

Reboot and you should be fine

Hey PPP,
I have XP home, which I upgraded from ME. Problem is it is fat32 and since you're not supposed to convert from fat32 to NTFS because the cluster size will wind up being 512 bytes instead of 4K, I would love to format my HD and install XP Pro. Does your copy require product activation? If not, could you send me a copy? I'd really appreciate it. Let me know. Thanks.
