Default Using steroids one time a week

Hello.

I was thinking about the following training regimen: excercise (bodybuilding) one time a week at moderate intensity. Using a combination of compounded and isolation excercises. If I excercise only once a week I tend to get painful and stiff muscles for some days. I was thinking about taking an oral anabolic steroid on the same day I excercise. A low to moderate dose. Maybe Dianabol, I know where I can get that one.

Would the anabolic steroid help me recover more quickly, how much would it help me build more muscle mass ? And would taking an anabolic steroid once a week be safe ? Would Dianabol even create a significant amount of muscle if I didn't excercise at all ?

I chose the name 'handicapped' because I have some RSI damage that prevents me from excercising at a very high intensity.

Thank you for your replies.

Welcome HC.

I would recommend that you put out a little more info. RSI means "Relative Strength Index" to me, so if you'd educate me I'd appreciate it.

How long have you been lifting? I'm going to assume that you're new since you want to lift one day a week. You do realize that it's perfectly natural to be stiff and sore when you first start exercising? and when you overdoit?

You'll get good info here. but depending on what RSI is, I'm sure you want to talk to your doctor about all of this. I have been very honest with my doc about aas (steroids). If he's a good doctor, he'll give you all the info you need even if he does try to talk you out of it.

RSI means Repetitive Strain Injury. I got it about 7 years ago when I had a certain job.

I've been on bodybuilding/fitness since 1993. I'm hardly a newbie.

Things like deadlifts and squats tend not to work for me, for various reasons. I prefer a combination of compounded (=multi-joint) excercises and isolation excercises.

There have been times when I excercised two times a week and there have been times when I excercised 7 times a week.

Now, because of a lack of motivation, lack of time and a fysical constitution that makes it unpleasant to excercise I'd like to reduce my training to once a week. But if I do that, and excercise at -at least- moderate intensity I tend to get some stiffness and pain in my muscles.

Therefore, I'm considering taking an anabolic steroid once a week. As opposed to doing cycles for about 6 weeks. That would also be an option.

My doctor is against anabolic steroids, he refuses to prescribe them to me.

you'll be wasting your money....i don't think aas is what your looking for. You may not be new to "exercise" but it is obvious your new to aas. Bottom line....there not for you

Have you tried supplementing with L-Glutamine?

Now if you were considering a cycle, which I highly recommend against, i'd throw some deca in the mix to help with joint pain.

Dbols in your case will do more harm than good.

How severe is your RSI?

A friend of mine suffers from it. He can't write for longer than a minute, can't do little things like style his hair, type, hang clothes on the line etc etc. But when it comes to working out, he can still pull 3 sets of 8 reps on all his excercises.

If you're looking to bulk, I don't see how RSI would interfere. I'm no doctor and i'm sure that every individual suffering from it is different, but i'm curious to know what it holds you back from doing.

All the best
