Not sure if this makes any sense or not but what do you think the effects of DNP would be if taken twice a week for several weeks? I was thinking about taking on Monday and Tuesday of every week at 400 - 500 mg for maybe 2 months this way I wouldn't be too worn out by the weekend for football or in the gym. Again, not sure if this makes any sense, just something that stuck in my mind for some reason and was wondering if it would be a waste or not.
Thanks
Idk bro. I don't think the levels would become very concentrated in your system..If I remember correctly ( and if I don't, PLEASE correct me, someone) - DNP has a half-life of 36 hours, so lets say you dose once on monday and once on saturday; that would mean by the time you take your 2nd dose of the week, 3.8 half lives are gone from your first dose.
This is just pure speculation, and I could very well be wrong here, but when I think about it, I just don't know if it would be extremely effective. If it takes about 2 weeks for DNP to clear your system with a half-life of 36 hours, would that mean there would be about 9 half-lives total?
2 weeks (336 hours) / 36 hours = 9 1/3 half-lives.
Lol sorry to hijack, but relative to these numbers, if dosed once on monday and once and saturday (120 hours) / 36 = 3.8; wouldn't that mean each dose would only be 1/3 (roughly) as potent?
I guess I would have to dig out that spreadsheet in the sticky somewhere to take a look..
Sorry for rambling, hopefully Conc. can give you something with more clarity / correctness
I could be just completely wrong all together
I'm not sure why xxjaredxx is talking about dosing on Monday and Saturday. Lizard King talked about taking it two days back to back (Monday and Tuesday), with time for it to clear by the weekend. I think that could work well. He just needs to keep in mind that with only two days on DNP each week, the effects on fat loss are going to be much less pronounced. Also, I wanted to point out that the half life of DNP is unknown since the evidence is conflicting, but my guess is somewhere between 1 and 3 days.
Since you're only going to be taking DNP for two days (a mini cycle we'll call it), I'd take a higher dose than you normally do on the first day. For example, if you normally take 300mg/day during a long, low-dose cycle, you can probably take 500 or 600 mg during the very first day of a mini cycle. Since you have no other DNP in your system, you'll be able to tolerate a higher dose on this first day. Your time on DNP each week is going to be short, so you want to get the active level up quickly for some decent fat burning. You need to be very careful though. Start low and slowly increase the dose each week until you find a good stopping point. For example, you might try 300mg on day one the first week, 400mg on day one the next week, 500mg on day one the third week, and 600mg on day one the fourth week. Pay close attention to the side effects and your body temperature on that first (and second) day. At some point, you'll find that the side effects are getting excessive or that you're getting too hot (temperature over 99.1). At that point, stop and do not go any higher the next week! Reduce the dose the next week if necessary.
Day two of the mini cycle should be at the dose you use during your long cycles, for example, 300mg/day. You'll have a lot of DNP built up from the large dose on the first day. You just want to maintain those levels with a smaller dose on the subsequent day. The DNP will be very noticable early in the week, but after you stop taking it and levels drop, it should be largely unnoticable by the weekend. That should allow you do some higher intensity training or play ball with your friends. Then when Monday rolls around, it's back to the DNP. Your results obviously won't be as good as taking DNP every day, but this kind of schedule might give you some more freedom.

Wow My bad I must have skimmed right over that. *takes another hit*
Regarding the half-life, I guess I remember seeing that number for some reason somewhere...Sorry about my dumb post

A number of articles and guides on DNP have repeated the 36-hour half life, so I'm sure you read it somewhere. I did the same thing and assumed it to be true. However, after looking into it a bit, I'm not sure where that number came from. The academic research on the topic is all over the place, with most major sources stating that the half-life is unknown.
Here's a quote from wikipedia on the topic:
Quote:
There is limited and conflicting data on the pharmacokinetics of DNP in humans. The EPA states that "Data on the elimination kinetics of the dinitrophenols or their metabolic products in humans were not found."[6] The ATSDR's Toxicological Profile for Dinitrophenols also states that "No studies were located regarding distribution in humans after oral exposure to 2,4-DNP. Limited information is available regarding distribution in animals after oral exposure to 2,4-DNP." However, they do state that "Elimination from the body appears to be rapid, except possibly in cases of compromised liver function."[7] This conincides with a review in the NEJM on the biological actions of dinitrophenol, which stated that "Judging from the metabolic response, DNP appears to be eliminated entirely in three or four days; in the presence of liver or kidney damage it is possible that the drug will be retained over a longer period."[8] Oddly, more recent papers give an array of possible half-lives, ranging from 3 hours[9], to 5-14 days.[1] Other recent papers maintain that the half-life in humans is unknown.[4]
Thanks Concillator, you answered my question perfectly. Yes I know it will be slower fat loss but I'm assuming the sides would be that much less also and I will be back to feeling normal by the weekend. Going to give it a run starting next week and see how it goes.
Thank you again!
Rabbits were hyperimmunized with {varepsilon}-DNP-lysine covalently coupled to type III encapsulated pneumococci (DNP-Pn vaccine). After a preimmunization with pneumococcal vaccine followed by immunization with DNP-Pn vaccine, 11 of 13 rabbits produced anti-DNP antibodies with titers ranging from 0.28 to 1.30 mg/ml. The affinities of the anti-DNP antibodies were low (105 liters/mole). The molecular heterogeneity of 7 of the 11 responding rabbits, as determined by isoelectric focusing, was markedly reduced. Upon continued immunization some rabbits maintained or increased their restriction while others exhibited a loss of restriction and evidence of molecular heterogeneity. Although titers and heterogeneity generally increased during prolonged immunization, association constants for the anti-DNP antibodies remained in the range of 105 liters/mole. The present experiments indicate that a bacterial carrier can have a marked effect on the structural complexity of anti-DNP antibodies and provide a new means of obtaining structurally restricted anti-hapten antibodies....
