holly sheet! i went to a local show yesterday just to check the comp out for my show next month. i had a bro that i thought had it locked for sure. they called his class, masters. same as me. there were only two of them him and this monster. im sure the monster one the overall, not sure as i just went to pre-judging.
my bro looked great. water depleted and full. i just cant believe how quick that look comes and how fast it goes! i saw him wed. and he looked great but nowhere near what he looked like yesterday morning.
i have never been able to completely able to water deplete. last time i woke up in the middle of the night and was so fricken thirsty i downed a 32 oz. bottle of water. BAD MOVE! anyway i never got to see what i looked like.
i need to find out what his body fat ended up being the day before. i know we were both close. i thought i was leaner. if i do my carb loading properly and water deplete properly too will i end up looking that tight too?
come on Bench, give me a tip or two! anybody! i will cut water and also using aldactone. just cant believe how tight people were looking.

I had a problem with h20 depleting too. My body responds well (now) to this formula:
100mg lasix am 100mg pm three days out
100mg lasix am 200mg pm two days out
200m lasix am 50mg night before pre judging
100mg lasix 2hrs before pre judging
Half a box of fibre one cerial with fat free milk one hour before prejudging.
Old school, but works well for me. HTH
PS- 1mg alprozolam before show helps with nerves
Yea, the water will make or break you. Someone with 5% bf with no water will look MUCH better than someone with 3-4% with some water. Thats why sucking on ice cubes help a lot. You want to think of dehydrated, try eating whole oats raw with NO water after you have already gone all day with only sips. IT SUCKS! Lol

Really, there is no tip. Just up the water starting now and then about 3 days out, start cutting the amounts in half each day and stop drinking fri night (only sips). Try and plan those meals to be more fatty as its easier to get that down since they are usually moist meals anyway. You can have water, but make sure its a SIP at a time and not chugging. Have you ever sodium loaded before? You can do it during your cut as well as during your carb up, but you want to practice this several times so that you dont spill over. Its great at bringing water from under the skin into the muscle.

drinking about 3 gallons of water a day. i have cut the carbs back to 100 or less. low sodium and i cut out the nuts and peanut butter. im eating lots of turkey and lots of veggies. a banana in the am and some grapes in the pm.
i was going to cut my water in half wed and half again thur. and ice on fri with aldactone wed, thur and fri. 50 mg a day. i was going to eat like whole grain cereal like cheerio's and wheat chex. no milk. some of that i cant believe its not butter with some splenda and cinnomen. what you think about that? i never loaded sodium and it kind of freaks me out. afraid ill hold to much water.
I never competed so my advice may not be all that great...anyway, I would start to lower the carbs a bit each week..also try some otc water depletion tablets they can work unless you can get some script lasix or something the like...a few days before the show
I used some otc water depletion tablets when I was on a deca cycle...they helped but in a very short period...I pissed a lot too

man your a big guy less than 100grams of carbs even on deplete days thats to low, your going to starve the muscle , while cycling i go no less than 120 grams and 300 grams on loading days , and wednesday before show 800 grams . start your load early enough to make sure you load properly , and salt of course is awesome load it up till 3 - 4 days out than cut it , skin will get paper thin . i cut water from 3 gallons on thursday to 1 on friday , have my last sip at weigh in , and than start to suffer ice cubes are fine in moderation , and make sure you do a proper fat load for that hard dense look
i have r/x BigK, aldactone. i just need to know what to eat. do i want the good fats from the nuts and avacados or not. do i really sodium load and cut it back to zero last 3 days. when do i carb load and how much? 800 gr.? that seems a bit much but if thats the way.
For a bigger frame, you can eat much more than most to carb up. The first day, you can eat really anything you want. Pancakes with syrup. Cream of wheat is VERY good. Simple sugars and flour is fine. Then, switch over to lower glycemic carbs over the next few days. Depending on how sensitive you are to carbs, I would do carbs starting wed and thurs, fri and of course all day. The BEST way would be something such as white rice or white potatos during those days and then you can eat ANYTHING you want after prejudging and get as much carbs and fat in that day (even some before judging) as the fat will fill you out vs storing itself
Now, the thing with your carbs is that you are taking in a bad amount. If you want to keep carbs, then raise the amount your taking in. If not, then cut them out so that your in ketosis. If you get there and take in enough carbs, then the fat basically takes the place as your energy source and even fuels the muscles so its easier to "get through the day" while being so depleted. You will actually probably feel even better than you do now
