It seems that as each new day goes by in this Patriot Act era world another of the guys I used to respect in this game loses his balls when it comes to what will and will not be talked about

I remember a 'guru' friend of mine from the UK that once said he would inject himself in a dark field in the middle of the night if the laws were tightened to such a degree as they are now, yeah ok he is in the UK where juice is legal but if the EU gov has its way in a few more years it wont be and then what?, I bet he will roll over like the rest, fucking piss poor

Ah fuck it either way, my point is that we should all (especially the guys whom were part of the scene pre 90) commit to reclaiming our balls, not taking any shit from the wankers in power

wow...good first post! we dont have to "reclaim" our balls, we never lost them, it's just that in this day and age, we like our balls in our comfortable homes, not in a jail cell.

I agree with you that we should consistently struggle against repression but one thing I've learned in my old age is that you should be strategic about it ... which is a fancypants way of saying you need to pick your fights.

E.g., if I were an American I would be in the forefront of people fighting the Patriot Act, but I think it would be sort of stupid to do that by openly discussing sources on on open board like this one that's being monitored by the Patriot Act gestapo. How much impact would you have by getting your ass thrown into the steroid gulag? It would make far more sense to work within the system by joining one of the campaigns which libertarians are waging against this legislation.

Mate, I had some sympathy for that approach back in the mid 90s when writers I know in the scene all came out with such advice, "petition your MP/govenor/senator", "we must fight this from the inside' etc yet where are we 15 years on? in twice as much crap as we ever were, man it makes me sick/sad/laugh to see the crap Kneller et al are trying to push whilst staying inside the guidelines of legality, shame on them

You mentioned that the EU would make steroids illegal over here. Well They're already illegal here. They are now a class C scheduled drug. Which isn't very serious if you are caught but the pollce over here tend not to bother at all with steroids. They would rather spend the time catching real drug dealers!

Having lived in Europe for some time, I can agree with you on that. The USA is quickly becoming more socialist every single year. I have no plans on living here the rest of my life. I love this country and I have gone to war for it (10th Mountain Div Veteran). This country is in the toilet waiting to be flushed and it disgusts me. I wish the Libertarian Party would gain support, the supreme court justices are using our Constitution as toilet paper on an ever increasing basis.
