Dianabol, I play for a major ranked Divisoin I baseball school and have alot of experience with knowing what pitchers and winstrol do for each other. I have seen many pitchers gain 4-5 mph not much more like you state and have kept this speed with proper longtoss and throwing stregthening programs. But, I have seen many more pitchers who were already throwing high 80's low ninetys and got greedy and winstrol dryed them out and they tore there rotator cuff or tore their ligament in there elbow and needed tommy john. Out of those players that blew out there arms none have made it back. MPH can always be gained with mechanical issues and proper throwing. Its like playing russian roulette with pitchers and winstrol. You may gain but also know on one pitch your arm may be done forever or for at least a year or two to recover from surgery. In my opinion it is not worth it because you can usually reach at least 85-88 if your in college if you can get your mechaincal issues fixed, gain flexablity, do not bulk up your upper body at all; this will only make you throw slower. Kind of sad because i was throwing 92mph and ready to get drafted out of high school and got involved in bodybuilding and wanted to look as big as possible and my arms got to about 18" (not huge but big) and I started throwing slower than ever. I decided I finally had to pick one either pitching or looking big adn for the time being i chose pitching and have about 15" arms now and have delveopled my lower body as much as possible while keeping flexablity and am back in the high 80s low 90's. My last piece of advice is that there are many contraversies about how to do longtoss but me and my team as well as all my friends that play for the florida gators throw the ball as far as they possibly can instead of keeping it at a straight line. This stressed the arm to its fullest potential and develops speed because you have the intent to throw hard because you are not focused on a specific location to hit. Hope this helped. But if I were you and loved baseball dont take winny there are other options and this could possibly end your career. Thanks. |

Weighted balls do help with a program for about 5-8 weeks and can get you 2-3 mph in that period. To do a weighted ball program you will need a radar gun and seperate weighted balls. My suggestion would be to run an 8 week program on flat ground three times a week: 20 pitches 5oz. ball, 20 pitches (2 oz ball tennis ball) and 20 pitches 5 oz. ball again....Its an underload program and has been VERY successful for everyone that has used it including myself. It teaches your arm to move quicker and does produce results. You need to be conisstent with it for it to work. The reason you need a radar gun is because when you throw a pitch you need to push yourself as hard as you can to throw the ball at a max. speed. You need to see the pitch speed so you can have a number and keep pushing harder each pitch. Without a gun it is not possible and you do not throw each one as hard as humanly possible because there is no number to check it to. A radar gun also will allow you to see which mechanical changes are most efficient for each pitch. They go for about $550 used on ebay for the jugs and about $600 for a stalker.

I am not a baseball player but there is alot of controversy regarding winny and joints. There are animal studies that show winny hardens and enlarges connective tissues making the tendons and ligaments less elastic and more susceptible to tears. I have read alot of personal experiences with winny on chat boards and many report an increase of joint pain during the cycle. |
