WTF--WU getting your print on check??

a bud of mine received a wire for some goodies and you know how WU makes you endorse a check so they can give you cash....

well, he said they made him put his r-thumb print on the check...is this normal?

yes thats normal for banks and any one cashing a check, anywhere, just to verify the author of the check and if it was falsly writtten they already have your prints, so no need to worry its legit

Before I went to pick up cash, I called the 1-800 number to see which WU stores pay out in cash. There are 5 WUs close to me, but the lady only gave me two locations that pay out in cash without ID.

Does your buddy have a record. Or has he had to give his finger prints for any kind of license. I have a casino license and they make you give your finger prints now. So of course they can match it up to something. If not then he has nothing to worry about unless the person's name that he is using has been finger printed. They need something to compare the prints to and if he has never given prints before then they cant compare it to anything.

And please no one say, what about when your born and they take your prints. It's usually your foot prints anyway.

my thinking is that sender may already know recipient will use a fake name so asking WU to get a print to find out who the "real recipient" was...know what i eman?

im sorry i dont understand what good is the fingerprint what point does it serve do they keep them all on a database to verify who you are i dont understand someone please explain

what about when your a baby, and they fingerprint.. j/k micro,
they take your print to verify the person who endorsed the check.
example i wrote a check to someone but when i got the product it turned out to be faulty and i had the right to stop payment, well i called the bank and i was too late the fucker had already cashed the damn check, and used a fake name with an id, but he had to finger print it and they verified his real id and got him when he went to the bank and used the fake name again cause it was flagged

went to a diffrent WU today and i didnt have to fingerprint, just endorse the check, im really not liking the way their handling their bussiness nowadays, this certain one, made me feel uncomfortable, and i could have swore they said the word suspicious, when they were getting the money from the back

im going to start giving discounts to those that use evo and cash now
