drug test?

not sure if i got this in the right place but i thought this was something close to the legal aspect. My friend and I were chatting and he said , " he heard that test for steroids cost over a $1000k dollars. " I was wondering if that was true. does anyone know? thanks for the input

1000k dollars? Thats like a million. YOu mean 1K$ But it is very expensive it usually runs (depending on the test ) about 400+. WHY?

thanks. Yes i meant $1k. Just everyone has said that is cost alot of money. and alot of companes won't test for it because of that. I have been hearing that rumor for years. Just up until recent I got curious.

When accepting a job a while back I had to take a drug test. I have never used drugs, but I was really curious as to what was tested as I have privacy concerns, etc since I may run for political office someday. I wanted to make sure the samples were destroyed unpon completion of the test and not forwarded to my insurance company for data mining. etc.

The test would look for cocaine, heroin, marijauana, PCP, methamphetimine. Not much more than that. I don't think it looked for LSD. Generally speaking, it will not look for prescription stuff as the company can the be opened to a lawsuit if they deny you employment due to medical conditions etc. I am now on testosterone as part of TRT, so testosterone would be one of those things that if checked and denied employment, I could sue them big time.

I am not sure off all the laws though. If you are applying for the CIA or something, then I am sure there are different laws.

I say an article in the newspaper - School System was bitching because the tests were 350-500 per test.........

How true. I know for a fact that the normal drug tests are for dope not steroids. I have been tested and my 200 mg per week of enanthate and 35 mg HC per day were never picked up. My former employer even knew I was on those things without a prescription. Being that he was a landscape contractor, I would probably be of little use to him if I was untreated hypogonadal and adrenal insufficient.

As for the prescription stuff, watch out. Depending on how thorough the test is, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and opiates of any kind will show up.
