Colorado doctor 21 months prison, forfeits $30,000 in Mobile steroid pharmacy case Colorado doctor gets 21 months in jail, forfeits $30,000 in Mobile steroids prosecution Press-Register Dr. Kelly Wade Tucker stood before a federal judge this afternoon and took his medicine -- a year and 9 months in prison for dispensing anabolic steroids outside the course of professional practice. [...] The judge allowed Tucker to surrender himself to a federal prison. He also must forfeit $30,000, which prosecutors said is a portion of the gains he received from writing steroids prescriptions. A written plea agreement signed by Tucker states that he began working with a company called Infinite Health in Eaton, Colo., in September 2005, and bought 5 percent of the business. The document states that the company's founder, Brett Branch, would send Tucker order forms for patients seeking steroids and human growth hormone. Tucker received $100 a patient, according to defense attorney Jeff Deen. Branch is scheduled to go on trial in January along with the owners of Applied Pharmacy Services in Mobile, several pharmacists and others. ... More... |
