Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission to stage Anti-Doping Symposium in January 2009 JADCO to stage Anti-Doping Symposium next month Jamaica Observer, Jamaica THE Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO), the body responsible for doping control locally, will stage a UNESCO-funded Anti-Doping Symposium at the Knutsford Court Hotel in Kingston on January 14 and 15 next year. JADCO executive director, Dr Patrece Charles Freeman, told the Observer the symposium will be used to educate national athletes on the procedures involved in the local anti-doping programme, including international standards set by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), as well as the prohibited substances and therapeutic exemptions workshops. "We'll be speaking about the whereabouts information - it's very important because if an athlete has three missed tests and it's a doping violation... how to do their medical history and to submit to get the certificate and we'll be having a practical on the doping control process where we will be demonstrating exactly what it would be like to be tested," Freeman said. ...
