The Pakistan Cricket Board has banned the right-arm paceman from playing international or domestic cricket after he tested positive for the banned substance nandrolone in the IPL in May. Asif subsequently filed an appeal with an IPL drug tribunal, which comprises former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, Dr. Ravi Bapat and lawyer Shirish Gupte.
