Richard Gasquet cleared on tennis doping ban MiamiHerald.com In yet another ''only in Miami'' story, French tennis player Richard Gasquet had his two-year drug ban lifted Wednesday after only two months because an international tribunal ruled that he had inadvertently ingested cocaine while kissing a woman he didn't know at South Beach nightclub SET during the Sony Ericsson Open in late March. Gasquet, ranked No. 23, had withdrawn from the tournament with a shoulder injury on March 28, partied at SET and then visited downtown strip club Goldrush with friends. He claimed he hooked up with a woman named ''Pamela,'' whom he kissed seven times between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., and that is how the small amount of cocaine entered his system ... More... |
