UK Sport Andy Parkinson appointed to lead United Kingdom Anti-Doping (UKAD) UK Sport's Andy Parkinson appointed to lead new independent London 2012 drugs agency Telegraph.co.uk Andy Parkinson, the head of UK Sport's anti-doping unit, has been appointed to lead the new independent drugs agency that will oversee testing at the London 2012 Olympics. Confirmation is expected from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport this week. The new agency will formally begin work later this year. Parkinson joined UK Sport in May 2006, having previously been medical director at the International Paralympic Committee. His tenure at UK Sport has coincided with several controversies including Dwain Chambers's return to athletics and Olympic 400 metres champion Christine Ohuruogu's ban for missing three drugs tests ...
