Give it a try, see what happens, and let us know. Your body adapts to whatever you throw at it, so who knows.

You shouldn't change up the 5x5 that much... It's pretty well designed as it is.. you can tweak the exercises or the rep scheme a little... but I wouldn't advise trying to work the 5x5 routine with 3x20 reps....

I agree with Phreezer on this. Combining both programs would likely be a bad idea. 5x5 is its very own program, just as 3x20 (SuperSquats) is a stand-alone program.

You must have a good attention span. After 12 reps I get too bored to continue. 20 is way out of my league.

I agree....I have no mental stamina to do 20 reps of anything, let alone the physical endurance. 12 reps is tops for me, but usually 6-10 is the norm.

i used to be the same way, but overcoming the 20 rep anxiety has helped me in so many other apsects of my life.

i love 20 rep squats... brings out the total package in me.... if i ever start feeling a little bit shitty about my gut or whatever, i hit the 20 rep squat routine for a couple weeks... puts me back into shape like no other.
