I wouldn't, If you think you are on the verge of an injury, you should probably take some time off.. Now, if it's just soreness..... that's a whole different situation altogether. Better safe than sorry bro.. |

KD, If you're really sure that you can avoid injury by doing the dips, then thats fine...do the dips. However, if you think you're gambling at all, you should probably take Phreezers advice. That said, I know that personally, I train around injuries rather than taking time off. Of course I don't get injured frequently. |

So do you think I should do every thing but chins and bench? And it's more then soreness becease this soreness hasn't gone away yet. Couldn't I just do legs and rows for a while? God I'll hate to sit at home wishing I was at the gym but if I don't chill out I mess around and tear something.

Freddy, I don't feel the "pain" when I dip, only when I do standing presses, chins and bench. I think I only pulled something during weigthed chins, I had only two plates so I'm kind of shocked that I hurt myself, this is a first for me.

Is it smart? No, not in the long term. But generally I already train smart enough that I take those kinds of chances. |
