Default A resounding endorsement of the 5X5

Beginning week 5 this week.

Originally, I was going to complain about this damned program. In the last 4 weeks, I've gained about 8 pounds and I haven't been that off on my diet. I'm supposed to be losing weight, goddamnit! How am I ever going to make 250lbs if I keep going up above 280lbs. Damn the 5X5! LOL

However, my tune has changed. I went to hop up and down on my most recent ex-girlfriend last night(and probably for the next couple of weeks for that matter). She said, "Oh you're harder than before" whilst feeling my back. Most importantly, though, is the fact that she insists my cock has grown.

I'm 26 and my dick is bigger than before! I owe it all to the 5X5. Thanks Bill Starr.

Sweet. There are not many things more satisfying than having a chick reach up under your arms, put her hands on your back, and go... Oh, my!

good work bro.

How about your own opinion....looking in the mirror have you seen favorable changes? Some areas starting to lag behind? Seems like the 5x5 is more for strength than it is for hypertrophy/growth.....but maybe I still have the Muscle & Fitness mentality.....

I've definitely hypertrophied. Don't worry about it, the 5X5 is fantastic for hypertrophy. A little less M&F and a little more deads and squats for you and you'll never wonder about race horses and EQ again because you'll know what it's like to be race horse sized.

....but the real question is....will I be able to fly like Rudolph? or Dasher? or Prancer? or Blitzen? or Comet? or Cupid? etc.?

Strength and size go hand in hand. Ever seen a 150lb guy squat 800?

People get far too lost in the idea that you have to isolate each and every muscle. I don't know how many times people have been stunned by their deltoid development on this program all from proper rowing and overhead pressing. Same goes for arm growth - many have totally ignored direct arm work and put significant size on their arms (unless their arms were disproportionately big to begin with and strength levels exceeding their compound lifts - which isn't a good state IMO).

I've been there. I used to be able to curl DB's up to my chest before I pressed with them.
