Do you mean for general health, dropping fat, or during a bulking cycle?

For general health, I recommend what I have my Mom and Dad do. My mom and Dad wear a Polar A1 HR monitor and do 55 minutes, 7 days per week, walking on the treadmill at a fairly steep incline. They keep their HR at about 126-132.

For burning BF, I recommend people to do 60-75 minutes of cardio, again wearing a Polar A1 HR Monitor, 7 days per week at 70-75% of their Max HR.

During a bulking cycle, I still highly recommend you do 50-60 minutes of cardio 3 times per week. It is a huge mistake to drop all cardio during a bulking cycle. I have several of Dorian Yates's and Ronnie coleman's videos, as well as Yates's book Blood and Guts, and both of them continue to do cardio, even during the offseason, during their bulking cycles. Who cares if you sacrifice 2 or 3 pounds of muscle during a bulking cycle by doing cardio?? You are doing your heart and overall circulatory system a GOOD service by continuing to do cardio even during a bulking cycle. People that advise others to stop doing all cardio during a bulking cycle should be ashamed of themselves, because there are more important things to think about than worrying if you are scarificing 2 or 3 pounds of muscle. Your heart absolutely needs regular aerobic activity, and advising someone to stop doing cardio during a bulking cycle is irresponsible and just plain wrong.
