That was the worst response and didnt help in anyway...and I know what he's talking about being former military (8 years)

Im not being perverted but I think sex is an awesome workout, serious calorie burner, and on top of that extremely fun!! I agree with the dogs approach also, i play tug and football with mine and its a great workout, i always take the steps (no elevators)and exagerrate them (squeeze and contract) pushups and pullups are amazing and can be done anywhere with lots of variation..i know what you mean about shoveling the snow and i know the soreness you felt..one day i worked in the flower garden pulling weeds and planting things to surprise the wife and the next 3 days i was like WTF??? extremely sore, and i work out 5 times a week at least..its hitting those fibers you normally dont hit that get you!!!

Go to a playground when its quiet, there are usually all sorts of bars and whatnot that you can do pullups, chins, etc on at a variety of angles. Also like Mick suggested, walking up stairs on your toes all day is great too! Especially if you do a raise on each one.

edit - Just realized the first thing I mentioned is not an every day chore, but it's still not a bad idea!

I'd be concerned for you if going to playgrounds on a daily basis was a "chore" of yours
