Default Great day!

I just finished working out. I did 275X3X3 on the bench press. While that may not be earth shattering weight, nor a PR or even close, it is great for now considering that 6 months ago my right shoulder was ###### to the point where I got pinned beneath 155lbs warming up. And then three months ago I tore up my left shoulder so badly that I couldn't lift my arm over my head or support my BW on a chin bar. So, really, this ain't half bad. I'm quite please. It was also super easy. I could easily have done 3X5 with that weight. Maybe, but it would have been super hard, even 5X5.

I also JS Rowed 275X3X3, which, I believe, is a PR.

All of this with the measely BW of 283.2. At least it's finally going down. I can't say definitively what my BF is, but I'd guess about 16ish since I have pretty decent vascularity in my shoulders and arms. My arms have also started to poof back up to a fairly respectable ~19.25".

the JS row of 275 is bad ass, I do the 5x5 at 200lbs, cant imagine jumping up 75 pounds and trying it! Nice work man.

At least do 205lbs! Those 2.5 plates are gay. If you can do 200, you can do 205.

what is a "JS" row? is that a variation of the Yates row?

Yeah.okay...If you really believe that. Its much smarter to go up by 5lbs a week than 10.Adding too much weight is a major reason for hitting the wall early in a routine.

I have to agree with DK on this one. Not the tone, but the gist. Small increments (towards the last of any loading phase) allow me to keep the total load high, due to the ability to get all my reps. As opposed to jumping up a full 10 lbs. and perhaps missing a couple reps.

thanks. funny stuff.

when I put in "js row"

I get "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. "

when I put in "js" I get

"Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : js"

when I try 'js row' without the quotes, it searches only on 'row' and I get 308 threads.

but thanks for the link, they sound interesting. bar rests on the ground between reps, yes? not sure I'm a big fan of the "don't use a slow negative" for ANYTHING related to back, but that's me.
