Sup Bros, I almost completely lost it tonight! This little skinny guy who works at my gym came up to me when I was in the middle of my power cleans tonight; and told me that I needed to quiet down. He said two women complained that I was grunting too loud and being distracting. . then he told us he was serious. I told him to "F*ck Off, we are in a F*cking gym!" He asked me to leave and not return. I demanded a manager, and asked if they have a 'no grunting' policy posted. When the owner came out he just laughed at his dumb ass employee. He apologized to me for interrupting my workout, and let me get back to it.Just thought I would share. Some people are so stupid |

Yeah, the Gold's I used to go to had the no dropping the dumbells rule and no grunting but when you have the big weight on you I'm not going to hurt myself by not dropping them! Worst part was they had the rubber coated weights so when you did drop em, they went pretty far, LOL

Lol ! Same thing happened to me ! I was a member of a club here for about 5 years when they changed managers they started coming down on a lot of the bigger guys ,grunting , slamming weights, spotting to loud ,etc I was doing chest with a pair of 160's (actual weight 157 /156) , first off I own them I have carried these things from gym to gym over the years, second I bring over ab pads to put under them when I set them down.I was in the middle of my set and the manager came over and asked me to stop for a second so i am already frustrated being stopped mid set. Then he proceeds to tell me I am being to loud and I intimidate the other members!I asked him how ? He said when I was doing flat bench with heavy weight and would rack the weight it would startle people. He said I always looked angry. I had been a personal trainer for several years and at one point had trained the previous owner and manager for two years. I picked up my dumbbells walked them to my truck came back grabbed my Texas power bar , he asked what I was doing taking things , I told him to pull my file, it should state I own these items and while he was at it cancel my membership ,he told me don't worry about it your banned I laughed and walked out. Luckily for me a person I knew had just purchased the only other gym in town at the time and had been asking me to switch hell he even gave me three free years membership for myself and my family! Thats a nice little deal Jugg. What the hell is wrong with people. They go to the gym and dont like people working out hardcore. Stay at home on your damn treadmill then!

recently switched from a traditional gym (Gold's, Lifetime Fitnss, etc.) to a crossfit gym. The routines very often involve olympic moves. Grunts, screams, puke, etc is all ok. People here stand around and cheer others on when they are not doing the routine. Intensity is expected.
