Are the brothers lifting in the same meet? What do they think their numbers will be?
Thanks Bob. Kyle tore his bicep 3 months ago and he is doing the meet, but it's just a meet to get back on the platform. He should bench about 600 and he will deadlift 730 - easy deadlift for him - but he doesn't want to put more tension than that on his bicep yet - he is hook gripping though.

Dave is benching and pulling but is recovering from tearing his hamstirng twice and a bad disk in his lower back. He should bench 750-ish and his pull will just be however much weight he wants to put on his back - maybe 650-700? - But if his back is bothering him, he won't pull at all.

O MAN,i felt so bad for that poor bar .. What body type would you say you are? Endo or Meso? You had the bar going up pretty steady .. you can deffinetly do more .. I was just thinking that if i ever trained with you, you'd have me leaving that gym on a stretcher

I'm probably somewhere between a meso and an endo.

Yeah - and deadlift form is do as I say, not as I do. I pretty much straight leg and round back it. - That tends to happen when it gets that heavy. - but my back is used to it.

I noticed that and that's the way i've always done it .. probably why my back is so strong and big and legs aren't .. I know what you mean about the heavy weight causing it. It's hard to keep form when going heavy (1-2 reps) ..

I am constantly in awe of both of them. Especially Dave since he's really leaned out. If he were fully healthy, do you think he could be top 10 or 15 in the world in PL? Just doing some rough numbers, he'll be doing ~1400 injured (bench and DL only) but can squat upwards of 900+ when his back is healthy.

I believe he was ranked 9th last year in PLUSA's top 100.

Matt

ps - Kyle's deadlift was number 1 last year.

Also, my deadlift should put me in the top 20 for sure in the 242s and maybe the top 15.

If I total 2100 in April, I should be top 15 in the world for 242s. Last year I was 49th.

I want to break into the top 10 - that would be awesome.
