Default Just tore my Achilles Tendon!!

What kind of training can i do now? I am non-weight bearing for at least 6 weeks. Any suggestions?

Wow really sorry to hear that. I tore mine in '91 and the pain was pretty intense. I got surgery and for about 4 weeks I could do sitting/upper body exercise but no legs. I believe I could not do anything for about 2 months. I was fortunate to have excellent doctors treating me at the time and they educated me on the surgery/non-surgical options.

For me:
4 weeks not much I could do
2 weeks began rehab - was painful and frustrating but I have no power issues with my right calf so I think it went well.
After 6 weeks I was still doing rehab but they also let me do lifting.

I wish you the best and just remember to read a lot about it. Back in the 90s I remember the doctors were arguing over Surgery. I would guess by now they have more than two options.

Thanks guys i appreciate it. Just a side note, i had to have surgery, it was a complete tear and the doc had to retrieve the top half of the tendon out of the middle of my calf. Pretty gross i know. anyway thanks again guys.
