i thought i would tell ya whats i thought about doing feel free to add your own input.
So ive been lifting for about 3 years and ive stayed the same weight 180 the whole time. I eat more than ever and my workouts change up from high rep medium weight to low rep heavy as possible but never gain any size. Ive done one cycle of sust mind you and didnt gain anything. i eat like a horse and still no gains. so i wondered if i should get a trainner although im not sure what they would show me that i dont already know thats just kinda how im feeling. im 5'7 180 with 13%bf any suggestions? now when i say ive been lifting for 3 years i mean like ive been going monday threw friday weekends off no skipping. |

Obviously you are doing a few things wrong. More research into size gaining workouts, and size gaining nutrition.
First off all I suggest old school weight training. Destroy major muscle groups (tons of weight, tons of sets) just once a week per body part.
Second, Eat 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight, tons of quality carbs.
Even without gear this should make you bigger. With gear, 500-1000mg Test EW, stacked with 400-600mg of Deca, or EQ EW.
Rather see you do it naturally, but this is an anabolic board. LOL
Above are the basic rules of BB 101.
BTW, I have been a personal trainer, and sports nutritionist for 20yrs.

I cant get around the fact that i DO need to eat more. As for the workouts you think i should just workout one bodypart a day heavy low reps? |

| | Re: personal trainer I switch it up week/week 3 sets of 10-12 and 5x5 the next week. 300+ grams of protien and eating about 3kcal a day. but as for going to failure you mean by going till my partner has to pick the weight up? no. going till i fail just by myself yea. |

| | Re: personal trainer i was in your shoes for a while also, couldnt gain weight or seem to add muscle for the longest time. First thing i did was look at my diet, you say you eat alot and intake alot of protein, i started takin ON serious mass, 2 full servings a day, started eatin tuna, pb sandwiches, protein bars, just intaking alot more protein, carbs, and calories but eating clean, that made me start to gain weight, with my training, now one week ill do 3/6 and last set ill do 1/25 on each exercise, next week ill do 3/12, and last set ill go real heavy 1/3-6, now i get sore again, and notice im gettin gains again, good luck though |

Quite lying! Obviously, dude, you DO NOT! And this is not even an arguable subject. If you were eating enough, then you would gain weight. Period! |

You just need to be consistent with ONE thing in order to assess it's efficacy. Make up a specific workout and do it every time for 6 weeks. Then re-evaluate. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
