Default Skullfucked

I'm putting this post in both forums cas I dunno what's got me this way . . .my training or my diet. However; I have been getting viscious, pounding headaches whenever I exert myself and it all started on Wednesday.

Wednesday I was jumpin rope and went a little crazy and when i finally finished doing a ton of reps I felt like I was gonna pass out. My head was throbbing like a vein was going to, or had burst in my skull. I had lifted before this w/o any problem so I disregarded the incident and just stopped my cardio and showered up.

Thursday was my day off. I went to the Projekt Revolution concert all day at the Tweeter and sweat my balls off there. By the end my neck was hanging and my legs were trembling from bein down in the pit, but I didn't get the headache. I had been drinkin before so maybe I just didn't feel it? I was jumpin alot more here then I was the day before when I got the headache.

Friday I went to the gym after work and went to do Military Press for my first exercise. After the first warmup set my head was throbbing, I rested a lil bit and did my regular set and had to stop half way thru the set b/c my head hurt so bad. The throbbing gradually faded until it seems my pulse returned to normal. Even that night when I saw my g/f, we were doin our thing when all the sudden my head started splitting again when my pulse quickened.

Saturday and Sunday I took no supps and didn't lift or do cardio. I had previously been taking Swole V2 and about 8g Arginine/ day. The headaches kept coming when I was with my girl tho . . .I had to take slow steady breaths to fend off the pounding pain b/c whenever my heart raced, my brain felt like it was swelling toward explosion.

Now its Monday and I'm supposed to go back to the gym. I'm still only taking Protein and Glutamine b/c I'm not really sure what's causing my pain.

Has anyone else experienced these throbbing headaches that come on you when you physically exert yourself in anyway? Could it be from my supps. or could I have fucked something up by improper breathing when jumping rope wednesday(like lack of oxygen to the brain)? I don't really know whats wrong . . .I just hope it goes away and it's not a tumor. Ya think maybe too much arginine could have swelled my veins too much with Nitric oxide? I took the recommended dose. Or maybe combining that with the Swole was just a bad idea? That Swole article in my other post talked about it clogging creatine receptors in fast twitch muscles including the heart and brain, so I'm done with that shit.

Anyway . . . if you have any input just lemme kno.

Thanks,
Ryan

The following is my 2 cents. I strongly urge you to seek medical care anyway but...

----------

Tension or exertional headache. Usually dies off after a couple of days. If it comes on regardless of the type of work / work level (CV, weights, going up stairs, sex) then GO TO YOUR DOC NOW!

If it only happens with v high intensities of work then back off for a few days, stop training and drop any supps for a couple of days or more then come back and train again. If you then get pain go to the Doc, if not dial back in the work load over a week or two and get going again.

Be cautious with this - i get exertion headaches and thats all they are but without a scan you can't know for sure and it may be more serious so TAKE CARE.

Cheers,

Gavin.

Not to get too off topic here (I think you should consult your doc)

Yea I stopped supplementing with Swole and Arginine on Friday. Monday I got the headache thing again at the gym, but just popped a couple aspirin and walked/jogged for about 15 mins and it went away and I finished my workout. Tuesday I had to play in a company softball game and no headache when running round the bases. Wednesday I lifted no problem; no aspirin and no headaches. Hopefully today will go equally well, I think my supplement combination was giving me high BP.

Thanks,

Ryan
