Unhappy can someone help my freind out?

My freind has obtained a shoulder injury to his right shoulder around 2 monthes ago. He has stopped all training (due to work hours until tax season is over) and to let his shoulder heal. He descibes his pain and location as follows:
Right shoulder
When he lays on it, it hurts
Can not do bench, but can do closegrip bench
The pain is located in the back where the arm meets the shoulder
clicks when rotated (feels like bones are rubbing together)

He can not see a dr. until the tax season is over(acnountant)! He is taking both shark catlidge and glucosamine and chindriotin formula. So far he is still unable to do push-upsand is still in pain. Any advice or suggestions that will help out will be greatly appreciated. Also training possibilties for chest training?
Thank you

Even though you've provided us with a good deal of information.. there is no one here who is qualified to diagones someone over the internet.. Your friend needs to see a physician.. He probably needs X-rays and an MRI to determine what's wrong.

Thank you for your responses, like I said it will be a while until he can see a dr. so I figured it was worth a shot to see if anyone had some useful tips or info.
Thank you

I agree. I had a major shoulder surgery 1 1/2 years ago, tore both my rotators. my right one was torn in half so it got fixed first. I didn't want to go thru with the other 6 months later so I'm just living with it. any way the only thing I can use is hammer strength and dumbells, I'll never bench again. but he should get it looked at and go from there........11
