Default Special forces school and a question about cardio....

I here in Texas for a 4 month special forces academy and we have been doing tons of cardio and ruck marches. Its been about 8 years since i went through my 1st special forces school and im def out of shape. I just seem to not be able to catch enough air while im running and that in-turn makes my legs feel as if ive got a ton of lactic acid build up and i have to either slow way down or fall out of the formation. My question is besides obviously just running more often, is there anything i can do to get that wind in my lungs i need? im here for about 3 1/2 more months and cant deal with my slow progression. Please help, any words of wisdom would be much appreciated. Thanks

Could always implement some high intensity intervals to really build up some endurance. Personally, when it's nice out of course, I will go at a dead sprint for about 30 seconds, drop and do 15 pushups, and repeat this several times. Not really sure if it is good to train that way, I just find it challanging as well as interesting. I hope you figure out something good though bro

alternate running distance with running split sprints, like run at a 85-95 percent run for a minute then drop back to a 60-70 for 2 min and back into a sprint do like 10-15 sets of that. great way to vary up your running. don't just do distance, or run hill sprints, vary it up so your body doesn't settle into a routine you want to keep shocking it into growth, or endurance in your case.

This may sound gay but get on a elliptical machine twice a day for 30 minutes to an hour morning and evening. You will drop weight but most importantly your legs will be going through the motions. I did an elliptical challenge for fun at the gym one month; I didn't realize it would help me as much as it did on my 2 mile run. Good Luck with your school.

I dont know much about it ,but how about a check with the doc to see if you need an inhaler, might be able to get one with albuterol.
