Default Spinal epidural

Long story short I have a ruptured disc L-5/S-1 and have been fighting it for the past three years. It prevents me from being on my feet for more then 10-15 minutes at a time before pain sets in and I start limping around like I just did 2 cc's of Denkyl t-400 in one quad.I can not do any serious cardio and my legs are starting to suffer atrophy from lack of any hard legg work .

I have been getting treatment from a Chiro for the past 6 months but it just isnt getting better he suggested the Epidural and possibly surgery as my next options.I will be getting the Epi done on 12-17 (WED)and then have an appointment with a neurosurgeon in the middle of Jan.Has anyone here gone through this? How long before you where back in the gym?
Any help would be much appreciated

My father in law (weird to say since I got married 2 weeks ago) got one about a month ago. He was popping 4 - 6 Oxy's a day and now has no pain. Went from limping around to being able to take his air conditioners out and put them away and he is in his late 50's. My wife is an ortho nurse and has been pushing him to get it for months and he has no regrets.
He was up and about by the end of the week and got the shot on a Monday.

First off I have been in this situation before is it ruptured or bulging big difference
If bulging then surgery not needed epidural will work as for ruptured discs they do not heal they are broken and leaking fluid down your spine, most people that have back surgery are no better after, that situation sucks bro my heart goes out to you.
PAIN killers will help maybe epidural will ease some of the symptoms but will not heal it.
Mine were bulging HGH did the trick might help with yours if its not to bad.

I think if its bulging then the epidural injection should help. Good luck bro and keep us posted.
