Default T-Bar Rows

I've been told that I don't bend down far enough for the rows. Should my torso be paralell to the ground or slightly higher (maybe 45 degrees). Please some advice. Thanks guys.

You wont find a single answer to that question. Everyone will have a different opinion. I tend to think that as long as you are somewhere between 0-45 degrees, then youre fine.

Personally Bro I use the forward motion beyond 45 degrees for more of a stretch I let the weight pull my arms and shoulder forward really giving my back a good stretch. I also will put my feet flat on the ground keeping my torso straight perform a row and slightly pausing on the contraction. I find this is great for working the rhomboids. Which normally get left out of our back workouts.

Bob's got a good point. For the most part, as long as your staying over the bar with your upper body and are still pulling your shoulder blades back, you're fine. Too many people that I've seen stand almost upright and the only thing that moves is their arms.

My question is why are you doing T-bar rows... I always hit myself in the balls with the bar.. Do bent over barbell rows instead

Seriously though.. If you stand up just a little too high it becomes more of an upright row and will work delts and traps more than your lats... Not exactly what you want if your doing t-bar rows...

You got that problem too, Phreezer?

I also agree with Phreeze. Why do t-bar rows? They suck and the BB is far better.

My t-bar row machine's platform is quite raised from the bar - so the ball hitting is nota problem. I think T-bars are great, you are braced against the weight by your legs in such a way that it feels like alot more stress on your back than BB rows. I don't like the smaller range of motion of BB rows, and instead do DB rows, both arms simultaneously - much better stretch and range of motion, plus a hammer grip feels alot better for me

I've been rowing a lot lately, I sorta row my beer up from the floor to get it high enough to take a good belt....and then I let it stretch my lat on the way back down....works pretty damn good. You should see my biceps too!

Are you drunk, Hogg? That's two posts tonight where I've seen you reference drinking beer.

No drinking on school nights and besides, Ms. Hogg is here. I did my beer drinking this weekend and enjoyed the heck out of it.

Closet alcoholic? Seems to me that when the woman is around might be the best time to do the drinking. 1) So she doesn't try and pull some shit later on down the road, "Well, you've never drank around me before, so...." 2) How in the hell else are you supposed to put up with her? Hang out with a woman sober? That's crazy!
