There has to be some kind of program to help people when something goes wrong. Check the Web and look into every possible plan the maybe available to you. I'm not sure about elective surgery being covered by these plans. I have a V.A.M.C. card and if something snaps, pops, or breaks, Uncle Sam does the repair work. ![]() I'm just waiting to get insurance and then I'll see what I can do about it. I don't really want to be out of comission for the year it willl take, but I guess I'll do what I have to. It sucks to have to worry about it. I went to lift a little, which is something I haven't done in a very, very long time, since MMA training takes up all my time, and I tried to do some chins. I can do them, but I don't think it's a very good idea. I can see the vastly different shapes of my arms in the mirror and I don't think putting 290lbs on, essentially, only a tendon is the best idea for me. And that sucks! Because I LOVE chins. Fuck me and my bullshit luck! Got unemployed and then injured 3 weeks apart. |

Shiiit, I wish that was the truth! In fact, I'll be giving up 70lbs or more when I fight on Sept. 20. I'll be down in the 265lb range(though I don't know if that's such a good idea) and dude I'll be fighting goes between 320 and 350lbs. ![]() Where in AUS do you live? I want to say my old roommate is in the Perth area right now. |

Grizz I had my distal tendon reattached over a year ago now . I was back at heavy lifting with in 6 months . The arm is as good as the other one now . Get some ins. and go in and get it fixed , the longer you wait the harder it will be for them to fix it .

I feel for you Grizz. My friend of over 20 years can't get help from Social Security nor the VA. They may have considered this injury a "self-infliction!" If someone had done this to him(popped both hamstrings) it may be a different story. We folks at the gym are trying to put together a fund raiser for him. With flyers, local news exposure, and appealing to the IFBB for some help. Being unable to walk for the rest of his life would be fucked up.
