| | Men are better at sports??? Hey guys, anyone know where I can get some official academic research journals/papers on the net proving that men are better at sports than women because they are biologically suited for physical activity?
Not lazy here but I've exhausted myself looking on the net and the library for proof and was hoping the Meso bro's would know where I could get some good info.
Thanks. |

| | | How about the world record books? Since the men's records are significantly better than the women's records, I think it pretty much makes the case. |

Men have specific advantages over women, so its really not a fair comparison. As Grizzly pointed out, look at the records for sports where there are mens and womens divisions, the men always have better, faster, higher scores.
In that regard, I could see finding some studies on WHY there are the differences. IN the end though, its like saying that my car is better than your car. Its completely subjective and arbitrary. |

| | trouble Is Smiley a male? I was just wondering, if Smiley is a man, why would you ask such a sexist question on WOMEN'S FORUM? Are you trying to stir up some trouble, or are you a woman simply doing research?
Do one can ever deny that men's and womens bodies are different. There is a specific reason for that!! I do not think that overall men are better than women in sports. One gender may be more successful at certain sports than the other.

A woman can be awesome in her sport, but that doesnt mean she would be able to compete head-to-head with the top men in the same sport. Tiger Woods or Vijah Singh would kick the crap out of Annika Sorenstam, who is the best womens player in the world. But shes still an awesome golfer. |

| | | dont get me wrong, while not a golf enthusiast, i appreciate anyone's talent. But just how physical is golf? Mens and womens bodies are just built differently, bottom line. But except for driving the long ball, how much strength is actually needed? It seems to me golf is more about finess and skill, rather than strength, which makes me wonder why a woman cant be as good or better than a man at this sport. OK all you golf nuts, let me have it. |

OK all you golf nuts, let me have it. | In golf, strength isnt extremelly important, but if you want to hit the ball far, then you have to have a certain degree or strength and flexibility. But again, strength is one of the major reasons why men will beat women in the same sport. A woman can be better than men at golf (or any sport). But comparing Tiger Woods to Jane Schmoe (or you or me) wouldnt be a good comparison. Thats why I used Tiger vs Annika. If they both play from the same tees (PGA length), then Tiger will win virtually every time unless he has a bad day (or his form from last year. ). Being longer in golf does make a big difference. |

But can they outrun the top 10 men 100m runners? |

It just proves that the fastest men outperform the fastest women.
Additional stats would be needed to support the argument. |

PLEASE. You should post more often, or give PHREEZER a lesson on how to post facts with out coming across as rude, arrogant, and an OVERALL dick head. I don't consider myself better than anyone in this area of knowlege . I am here to add, discuss, and learn.
Thank you. |

Thank you. | Phreezer is a good guy. If he disagrees with you, he will be blunt about as will many members here. Stick around for a while and I'm sure you will revise your judgment of him.
And whether it's fair or not, most members will look suspiciously upon 'newbies' who only have a handful of posts. Don't hold this against us - it just happens to the unofficial rite of passage for newbies on MESO. |

| | | THanks for the kind words Admin.
Narcissa, I do apologize for coming across rude. However, to be perfectly honest, my being a "rude dickhead" came from reading some of the arrogant and rude posts that you have made in other threads.
And yes, I should probably post facts without being so rude... but when I am addressing someone who has demonstrated a past behavior of rudeness I tend to not sugar coat things..
lol..Look at this way.. Atleast people always know where they stand when it comes to me
All kidding aside.. It is difficult to read someone's "tone" from the internet.. Perhaps I misjudged you... Perhaps you misjudged me...I will make an agreement with you Narcissa, if you lose the attitude.. so will I.... Fair enough? |
